We had the great pleasure of having Martin be our FDK educator for our daughters first year of school (JK). In her time, she had developed a complex understanding of letter and vowel sounds, establishing a solid foundation for reading and writing.  She was able to put sounds together, identify all of her letters and read sight words... and was reading by the end of her first year. My little girl was considerably more advanced than my other two children, who had a more traditional educational experience for their FDK years. 

My little girl is now finishing her first year of grade 1, and has exceeded all provincial expectations for her literacy and mathematical skills, and is reading at a grade 3 level. She reads chapter books while other children are still working on levelled reading. Her knowledge also advances her printing and writing, resulting in outstanding spelling abilities for her age. Her absolute love for learning and passion for reading is so refreshing in a world where we are so focused on everything being online and technology based.  Her love to pick up a book and sit for 30 minutes at 6 years old to read is something that fills my heart, not only as a mom and educator, but as a lover of books.

In addition to her literacy skills, the mathematical teachings he formulated for the children were also very well received. My daughter has also excelled in math, and at home she is working on grade 3 workbooks to further challenge her learning. 

I am confident that Martin’s program will offer so much more to the children and families than they ever anticipated. I truly believe that my daughter has always had a love for learning, but Martin and his teaching methods fostered that love, and gave her the tools to build those strategies, develop those skills, and put them into practice. He went above and beyond what the traditional education system provides, and I see the benefits of that every day. An investment into his program is an investment into your child and their future."
